I love the kid’s accent: “I hit the TAH-get!” East Coast production, I’d guess? I LOVED these toys growing up; those phasers got a lot of use!
These look like the phaser props used in the SNL Star Trek sketch with John Belushi. Timeframe would be right.
i HAD THIS TOY!
perhaps they might re release that again wth the new movie. r even a next gen updated version
Holy shit…. I remember having that. I didn’t recall until seeing this video. The things we block out as children. I wish I had it now though.
Or from Boston.
Perhaps the child is British! xD
Yes, but it’s actually…”I hit the taaaaaaaget!”
“I hit the target!” LOL
I am certain shooting my brohters with a spud gun was more fun
Where I grew up in Michigan, we call them “fancy flashlights” and “Bike Reflectors”! LOL!!!!! I actually thought (for a split second) that this was a Laser-Tag kinda game, then I remembered it was the 70s and laser cost THOUSANDS of dollars. Great Laugh at this one!
BIG UP TO BROOKLYN!I LOVE NEW YORK
How awful! lol!
so this game teaches kids that a hand phaser is effective against a full klingon battlecruiser? ok then…:)
They end up yelling “I hit the tawgit” at random.
Wow, with that URL reference along the bottom I thought this was contemporary
I might get my daughter one for Xmas.
Um… how did they actually know when they hit the target?
Hey I am a Long Islander. Never knew I had an accent.
Actually that accent is more New England than New York. LOL
“You missed” That kid couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn
“I hit that taaaaaget!”
How thick are those Long Island accents.
Wow. I got this for my birthday way back in 75-76 & I forgot all about it!
“I hit the tahget!”
I want one!
