   He used too much of the cologne with all the illegitamate kids he has had..Go Garvey….LOL!!!!!!!!!

   Very cool to see this commercial from my youth, and I remember what a top player Garvey was at the time.

   But does anyone else notice the strange tone of the catcher at the start of the commercial? He clearly sounds like a gay man who’s interested in Garvey. It’s only when the catcher says “my girl” that tells the audience that he’s hetero.

   Garvey was my favorite baseball player. It’s cool to see him in this commercial when he was in the prime of his career.

   I rember that commercial …. struck me as odd at the time because he had a distinctive batting stance in games that was different from this commercial. He always stood upright with legs fairly straight and kept his hands still. He never bent his knees and waved the bat around like in this commerical.
