LOL, is that so? Guess that was the first sign of favoritism for the Great Dane from Cartoon Network. None of those other shows would go on to be as whored out as “Scooby-Doo” was (and still is) by Turner & Time Warner. Closest was “2 Stupid Dogs”, which at the time of this recording had just been canceled with just 36 (or so) episodes, which CN would re-run into the ground in subsequent years, due to lack of any newer programming!
Your guess would be correct, as Scooby-Doo did win the Dog Bowl.
Yeah, I remember them from the WB shorts. I take it that, to draw comparisons to the “2 Stupid Dogs” they called them “2 Curious Dogs” even though I don’t think they ever had official names. Clever. XD
And for those of you who may be wondering, no, I didn’t record the results for the “Dog Bowl”, nor do I know who won the “Dog Bowl”. My guess is Scooby-Doo, who’d go on to be re-run more times than ANY of those other dog shows combined throughout the rest of the ’90′s and the early ’00′s.
2 Curious Dogs are Warner Bros./Chuck Jones’ Dogs
I miss the old Cartoon Network. The new one has nothing worth watching.
ALL ABOARD THE NOSTALGIA TRAIN.
toonheads and ed grimley wow that brings me back
I remember the Ed Grimley SNL skit where pat sajack
“The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley”.
And I apologize to those early viewers for having taken down this video last night. I did so because the HQ version of the clip had wonky encoding, so I deleted it and uploaded it again. You can come back now!
What was the name of that Martin Short cartoon at 6:43 again?
