I still hate Macy’s… bring back Lazarus, Marshall Field’s, Kauffman’s, and all the other companies you swallowed!

Lazarus rocked. I remember their “Christmas White Sale” commercial from the 1980s. I don’t know why, but it’s still with me today.

Macy’sucks. Bring back Foley’s and the other cherished regional stores.

  7. foleysofcourse says:

Foley’s Greenspoint mall location and the warehouse store also had HomeWorks. It was an experiment by old Federated prior to the Campeau debacle.

All too true- it really hasn’t been the same since Lazarus’ flagship downtown store called it quits 4 summers ago.

Wal-Mart has become the defacto ‘department store’ of the middle class.
