   Not 30k dollar, 30k Swedish kronor and if you can find even half a house for that your lucky.

   Yeah, it’s cheap for now but prices are starting to hike back up in my area. It’s still no where near as bad as europe though.. i feel for you bro

   I would suspect it takes quiet a lot of gas, but you live in US right? Your gas is dirt cheap compared to the prize in Sweden. I’m only using/going to use mine on does nice sunny summer days. The rest of the time I’ll use my Peugeot 405GTX. :p

   Could i use this car as a daily driver? It isn’t too impractical is it?

   forget about other cars hp, power to weight ratio is what you need 2 look at, I have a 944 turbo , parts r expensive, but not all parts, i get a lot of engine tune up parts from a local car parts shop as a lot of parts are the same as a Audi, which Audi i do not know but he always comes up with the parts, except a accelerator cable which i had to get off the internet.
   It is a extremely fast car, i put koni suspension on it and it is unstoppable now.

   I don’t know really, all I know is that if something breaks on it its really expensive. You have to order the parts from Germany.

   But the person who had it before me never had any real problems. But then again she only drove it like 100km per year.

   I would love a turbo but I’m a 19 year old student so I don’t have a lot of money, I been working on 2 jobs to afford this one.

   Yeah.. 944 turbo is the car for me =)
   Just hope i find one for a good price..

   Another question, what about the 944 tends to require the most maintenance?

    Its not really that fast, it got about 160hp, my dads saab is faster. But then again he got turbo.

    I’m not sure about 0-60, I haven’t really driven it fast yet. But its a well balanced car so I think it is fast around a track, its almost hard to get it to drift.

    How fast is a normal 944 with no turbo?

    I bought a Porsche 944 -85 two days ago for 30,000 Swedish Kronor (3920 US dollar) that was like new and had only been driven 13,000 Swedish mil (1 mil = 10 kilometers).

    I bet you can find one even cheaper that have been driven a lot more but still runs fine. Note that this was without the turbo, if you want turbo you are going to have to pay like 3 times more.

    Really? Where at? I know most of them are going to be high mileage but i want one that at least has had some of its parts replaced with newer ones. I don’t want to buy a car and have to spend more then the car itself just trying to make it run.

    It would be my first car too and i am well aware that it is a high maintenance car

    true, but if its taken care of then itll last a long time, mine was very neglected before i got it, so of course i gotta fix stuff…

    I cant even afford a 924 so I can’t really say to much.
    I have driven a few 944′s and do like them, I guess if you are a porsche purist you won’t like them…

    You guys that love 944′s should check out the 944 Spec racing class. Do a search for racing videos here.

    I own a 924 and I love it. I kinda have a grudge against these because they replaced my car, but I would love to own a 944 Turbo S (951 S)

    That is so not true. I have an 83 944 race car, and all I do is change the oil…these are bulit proof. Now if you buy one that has not been taken care of watch out… but fix it right and you will love it!!!
