    Wacky… I wonder if this was shown on the Canned Film Festival–anyone recall that from the late 80s? It was shown on Friday nights on NBC here in Dallas, and was sponsored by Dr Pepper. All Really Really bad scifi movies from the 50s. Sort of MST3K, but without any commentary during the movie. Before and after the commercial break, the cast made a few comments. Anyway, every commercial break had a Dr Pepper commercial, and several were SF themed and WEIRD.

    I found this from when an episode of “Donahue” that was caught just before a 1989 newscast from area CBS affiliate WTKR.
