dewds..I grew up freestyle riding in the late 80′s then skating, then got a film degree from ucsc in 2001…THAT IS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE TOY/ CAMERA EVER!…GIMME THAT THING!!!
A nice commercial for a toy camera which has now become an indie-filmmaking tool, featured in such films as “Hamlet” (with Ethan Hawk), “Nadja” and “Slacker”.
This was BY FAR my favorite toy EVER. I saw this commercial on TV and went NUTS! I still have several PXL 2000 Videos. I’m uploading one today. Thanks for posting this.
nice I still got that thing. it’s stored away someplace. Great product for the time by far
that suck it broke was it expensive
Wow, and I thought I was the only person in America that remembered the advertising for the PXL.
Dragging up old commercials from the grave. PXL FTW!
I found 3 of these over the course of 6 months at swap meets a few years ago. After cleaning and tweaking, I sold each for over $200 on ebay. Fun thing.
I had this camera and it only filmed in black and white and had a maximum of 6 inches viewing when played back on bigger TV so it would be a small square in the middle of the TV screen. It ended up breaking after a week though.
