They sort of do (and Don’t) they’re mostly commercials for Disney Owned properties (I.e. ABC, ABC Family and the occasional ESPN Spot) plus some PSAs…In fact, “Radio Disney” runs sort of the same way…
(SIGH) What I wouldn’t do for the REAL Disney Channel to come back…None of this HSM OMG Garbage. Just actual entertainment (And Bring Back “DTV” while you’re at it!)
I like Disney Channel now.
It isn’t “non-commercial” anymore
I SO Miss all of these previews!!
Speaking Of The Raccoons, Have You got any promos for The Raccoons On The Disney Channel From Around 1985 to 1992?
me too… LOL
I had the biggest crush on that Greek girl in “Goodbye, Miss 4th of July” movie.
i know it’s like mtv they don’t show music or good shows any more…what happend to the good old days when every thing was better on tv
I miss when they used to show all the stuff from the 50s late at night now they just show stupid cartoon all night long.
God, the Disney Channel is just horrendous now. Shame the world has to be so screwed up these days.
true, they aren’t as creative anymore. there used to be so much imagination and magic put in to things. now it’s just, well… boring. i’m tired of hearing about who loves who.
yeah.
everything from the 80s and back was creative and fun,now its just all…well,it is not as creative.
it just depends on how the commercial nowadays.
yep, yep. I like the old disney channel better. ‘cuz i like all things from the 80′s and back.
now,THIS looks like quality programming.
but now, disney channel is alllllll about teenagers who think they are better than everybody and pretend to live in a fantasy land and can only talk about bras and boyfriends and making out and lets not forget shoes and clothes!! same with nickelodion.
Anyone in San Antonio, Texas remember the 98 * hack on rogers cablevision boxes? Back then Rogers had a two piece converter with a sivler amp in the back of the box. If you kept pressing 98* on channel 99 the picture would go to a specia tone and then descrable. With digital cable this is harder if not impossable to do. PPV is now VOD has been since 2002. No more 98, 99, 40, 44, and 69 now different channels.
At one time between 1988 to January of 1989 at my grandads house we had all the channels including viewers choice 35, 36, and 37. I think it was a promo, when my grandmother saw me and my brother watch movie of a women walking naked down the street she called warner cable and had it removed. for some reason she thought she had to have a converter box on each tv set so they played $4.00 extra a month to have a cable box for 2 years
Now if only i had the warner home theatre previews around here
Back then in the San Antonio Texas Market Rogers Cablevision charged $7.95 per month. Plus $3.05 per nonaddressable Converter Box. The addressable converter box was nothing more than a tuner for the analog dial tv sets that did noting but tune but not descramble I think those were .68 cents a box. Warner Cable Houston, Texas was somewhere between $9.95 – $12.95 plus $2.00 per converter box. The box was white with red led.
Back then, did anyone hear of or have one of those black cable scrambler boxes??
It was sort of a way to cheat at getting all the pay channels for nothing.
My family had a scrambler, and frankly, I wish we still had one.
It was great to watch Viewers Choice with a clear picture because of the scrambler.
Without a scrambler, you would be able to hear a movie on a pay channel, but the picture would be all messed up so you couldn’t watch it!
Unfair, but that’s why you had to pay!
I don’t remember, but how much did it cost to subscribe to Disney Channel when it was ACTUALY worth watching?????
Now I wish I had used my weekly allowance when I was younger then to pay for disney channel.
crap. i wasnt born in the 80′s so im stuck with this lame disney channel.
oh my gosh, i remember this! i remember, we couldn’t afford to subscribe to it, but they aired it for free on thanksgiving and christmas!
disney channe; just has disney commercials like disney 365 or commercials for disney movies and disney channel pass the plate and commercials for tv disney.
LOL now Disney Channel is for teens in these days for kids!
they show the same 2 commercials all day long now…
ohh the memories!
a time when Disney Channel actually showed stuff for adults! I miss the good old days.
