We pay 1000 bucks to just to get a simple made in USA PC.and these get broken too soon.
if you get your money back, then the tax bills will be dropped out in your mail box.
Nah, it would’ve been cheaper if not adjusted for inflation.
Nice. auto VHF knob turning and tuning.
Is that a combination TV/air conditioner?
Thanks, I guess i needed to be told.
actually, more expensive.
143,000yen!?
Cool moves for those girls
I like the TV.
Because one Japanese chic dressed in a retro gangster well-tailored zoot suit walking backwards in near unison wasn’t enough…
That a sub-woofer on that thing (at bottom)? Can’t be! LOL. This proves only one thing: people were hard-tripping in those days. You could *only* come up with the idea for this type of “commercial” after ‘shroomin. *;)~
my nephew had exactly the same tv lol
money back then was valueable
Of course you’re going by the currency exchange rate of today, back then, it would’ve been slightly different if the price of this set was actually cheaper.
I used to have a Zenith set just like those with the “Space Command” remote that was just one button that turned the TV on, go from channel 2 to U before shutting off, that was it!
$1265 USD
I had a old remote tv and opened up the remote. It had like little metal hammers that made the clap noise. Grand old technology.
Actually, the first television remotes in the 50s did the same thing. They were wired to the television set and controlled a mechanism that would move the dial.
I like this commercial.
The old Zenith System 3 and Sentry 2 TVs use to have remote like that back in the mid/late 1970s. When you pushed the buttons, a metal “clap” sent the signal and the TV did what you wanted; Volume Up/Down, Channel up/Down, Power Off/On.
But still is pricey for an 18-inch set.
how much lol?
Takaiii!!! But WOW!!! I’ve never seen a remote do that!! O_o
