i ahve to question first i want to do this im only 14 and i want to this what high school classes and universt will u have to do and is the f-35 better then the f-22 and do we have anything like the a-10
Canada will never put down the money for the F22, we don’t need it, we never will(hopefully) The F35 is an amazing plane and will serve Canadas needs much better than the F22
yea i was gonna say what about the f117 byt yea i hope we start getting more military funds soon because are navy sucks and so we dont have many planes hopefully we get some f-22 raptors and f-35
They arn’t allowed to,, they have to withstand 6g for 15 seconds without passing out he could never do it
We don’t have specialized aircraft like the A-10 but the CF-188 Hornet can perform close air support for the troops on the ground.
Nobody know the performance in combat of the F-22 and not much of the F-35 ,but the F-22 is a superiority aircraft and so in air-to-air combat the F-22 will dominate the sky against the chubby F-35 ,but in other side the F-35 is a tactical strike fighter which mean is a modern A-10 which can perform air-to-air but only for self defence.
The F-35 is a fat stealth tactical striker fighter and a very slow fighter in fact the F-35 is much more slower than the current F/A-18 which it is intended to replace. According to Australian document from 2008, the F-35 can’t destroy a Sukhoi Su-30 which was basically designed to perform very well in air-to-air combat against 4th generation aircraft.
Anyway the stealth aircraft is obsolete because is a old dream from 1960s and since 1999 we know is a total waste of money since a F-117 was shotdown by a S-125 in 1999.
To be honest , the canadian forces and canadian government should looking into a European fighter and not looking for the technology inside but the performance, operating and maintenance cost. We made a mistake with the CF-18 which is basically a aircraft based for aircraft carrier but we don’t have aircraft carrier. The aircraft based on carrier is basically designed for short range strike (under 450 km from the carrier).
That was a mistake mate..i found this video it apparently a F-14 against a MIG-25 in 1980s and not a CF-188 Hornet i was fooled by a friend of my.
Well i guess the F-35 is better than the F/A-18 Super Hornet because the F-35 is much more modern but the F/A-18 have much more experience in combat and right now between paper and reality the F/A-18 super hornet offer better performance ,but if you want my opinion the Eurofighter is the best CF-18 replacement and for much more cheaper alternative the Grippen next generation will be the best choice for operating cost and the Grippen is less expensive than any other aircraft today.
whats better the f-35 or the cf 18 super hornet and by you guess how many super hornets should we have tell they are discontinued

2) The F-35 is not the official CF-18 replacement ,Stephen Harper declared 150 F-35 in 2006 for finally declared only 65 and later declared the CF-18s would remain in service until 2020.
i have 2 questions are you a fighter pilot somthing i want to do. and why are we getting rid of our beloved hornet when the f-35 isnt actually that gret or are we goning to upgrade it like what we did with the f-18
The F-35 is not better than the F-22, the F-22 is a true air superiority while the F-35 is a multi-role strike fighter which mean is basically designed for strike (tactical bomber) while the F-22 is designed to perform air supremacy. The F-35 air-to-air capacity is basically only for self defence like the A-10 which is equipped with air-to-air missiles.

I think you will find that Canada will not be replacing the F-188 anytime soon. As soon as the CF is out of Afghanistan (and the current economic meltdown is over) whichever Gov’t is in power will be trying to make massive cuts to get the budget under control. As history has shown, over and over and over and over………DND will be first on the chopping block.
In all seriousness Canada needs two different fighters, and air superiority, which is exactly what a hornet is, and a Tactical bomber which is what the F-35 is, for some reason, Canada(the peace keepers) are buying a jet specifically made for bombing the fuck outta things, well done canada
