Always one of my favourite songs…..so I hated it when my Dad would deliberately sing it wrong with….’this is the dawning of a hairy arse!’…parents can be so embarrassing when you are young!!!!!

  5. jdhammond says:

What a fab song!!! I wish I could find the version of this that you did on British telly years ago, It may have been on Viva cabaret, I used to have it on VHS and it never failed to make me smile…great stuff.

I did know John (he was beautiful) – and sadly i don’t have a pic of them together.

mark, i never realised you and tim conigrave worked together. do you know where there are any pictures of he and john? there’s not much online and stuff like this is fantastic. did you know john yourself?

  8. bobdowne4real says:

He was an amazing guy. Totally brilliant, hilarious, charismatic and unique. Sorely missed by his family and friends. :-(

  9. antelope19 says:

Whoa Tim Conigrave almost nude!! Wow. I’ve only heard about him because of his book…We did a promotion for it about four years ago in a bookshop I used to work in. I think I’m gna go read it again now…It’s kinda weird to see him in the flesh. What an amazing guy, and what a wonderful story. If only he was still around :-( On a better note, Mark’s the only one not in a dress!!

Btw everyone go read “holding the man!!” now!!
