wouldve loved to have been a kid in the 90′s!
Its like a frozen sausauge!
These adverts were shown the day before I celebrated my 14th birthday and I remember nearly all of them including the Carling Black Label advert. How the two men in the car from underneath a set of lorries while one of them was driving, I just do not know. Moviewatch was one of my favourite Channel 4 programmes. I bet in this episode that the Shawshank Redemption won in terms of marks out of ten.
great junction.
As Mr Carmody concurs above.
You’re incorrect I’m afraid.
Shawshank Redemption UK release date was 17th February 1995.
The Best of the Tube was made in 1994 but not screened until early 1995.
Shrove Tuesday was on the 28th of February in 1995 (JIf Lemon Advert).
Pot Night was Saturday 4th March 1995.
Comic Relief falls on odd years (PG Tips Advert).
I can’t be exact about the date but I know it’s early (probably February) 1995.
Cheers anyway.
Only among a certain sort of middle-aged adman could that Studio Line ad have still been considered remotely cool in *1995* – “Buffalo Stance” is a great single, but pop-culturally at this point the late 80s seemed further away than the mid-60s.
John Peel voices for Swinton Insurance. This is still from Wednesday 22nd February 1995.
May I point out that this is 1994, as it features at the end of “The Best Of The Tube”, and “The Moviereview” programme reviews “Black Beauty” and “The Shawshank Redemption” which both came out 1994.
