@777jimmyxxx O.k. you live in the USA. This is not the same as Middle Europe. I think times were more unpleasant here due to post-fascist traces. As the US had no fascism, there was presumably more liberty.

I was busy raising a family in those days but I can tell you it was defineitly NOT boring……..it was time of EXCESS….. money, drugs, etc..yes it was Reagan’ s time of conservatism, but, believe me it was not boring

  7. soccerlover1980 says:

@777jimmyxxx It’s because my perception of the 80s is that they were a decade of extreme boredom and they were, say, very dry, much more conservative as nowadays.
And I was a child at that time.

  8. 777jimmyxxx says:

My perception of life changed in the 80′s because I became a husband and father…..I’m not trying to get into a generational competetion with you… . I am just trying to state that when this movie came out, it was a great time for those who were young enough to enjoy it….that’s all………..

  9. soccerlover1980 says:

And what is your perception of the 80s?

  10. eddie1fishtaco says:

If you think disco was gay is because
    you’re gay

  11. KINOLOCO1 says:

Disco was very gay But sounded good.

  12. jgm1889 says:

the 70s is the best generation period.

  13. 777jimmyxxx says:

I was 22 and lived in N.Y. when this movie came out and I’m here to tell you we had an absolute BLAST!!!!……..I’m not trying to say that my generation was any better than any other era, I’m just saying it was a GREAT time to be around!!!!

Just caught travolta in a lie. He said they used a double on the shot where tony lifts up his foot, and checks out the shoe in the display, and that the guy was off balance, and that if he would have done the shot he wouldn’t have been, because he has good balance. Now watching that shot again, and carefully, the guy was not off balance, but slightly bouncing to the rythm of the song. Watch it again, and you will see that I’m right.
