The Super Bowl is not just the National Football Leagues championship game, it is a National Event. The game and all the events that go along with it constitute Super Bowl Sunday. Over the years, its popularity has been such that it has almost become sort of like an unofficial holiday all over America.
The Super Bowl is not just match between two football teams, it is also the venue for artists across America to come and give thrilling performances. Through the decades, we have seen so many popular signers and musicians come here and perform live, in front of a huge audience. This is also the time in which businesses try to promote themselves through cool commercials, since so many people are watching. Every year, you can see a whole set of Super Bowl Commercials, each one interesting and very memorable.
Lets take a look at three popular commercials of Super Bowl 2008:
- Coca Cola The one features a giant sized Stewie and Underdog balloon, trying to capture the Coca Cola Bottle balloon. As they move across the many tall buildings of the city, they surprise everyone. Finally, Charlie Brown gets the Coke. The entire sequence is really awesome because everything is so gigantic. It gives you an impression on how Coca Cola is so hugely popular with people.
- Fed Ex This commercial features another agency which uses pigeons to carry mail and parcels. It claims its pretty efficient, but when a giant pigeon they have bungles in getting the order to the right place and in the process crashes a lot of things, the guy reviewing this service just says Hell Switch Over to Fed Ex This line says it all about Fed Exs services.
- Bug Light This one is really memorable with this guy being able to breathe fire literally because of the new Bud Light drink he had. In fact he lights the candle of his romantic dinner. This impresses his girlfriend, but then out comes the cat and he gets an allergic reaction and sets the entire settings on fire. Bud Light has that much power.
Each of these commercials is eye-catching, interesting and very memorable. The main advantage for businesses advertising their commercials during the Super Bowl is that they can reach across to so many more people than they normally would do, through a regular television, print or even an internet ad.
The Super Bowl is the most watch television broadcast and this feature gives them a definite advantage of reaching their message across to thousands of viewers across America. The viewers are a mix of people, belonging to different regions of America and such far access in a single day, is not possible at other times of the year.
