The television commercials seen now were really sophisticated and packed a lot of energy into each small sequence of actions.

Advertisements, at this time became really slick. You have celebrities doing endorsements of brands in a really big way. The bigger an audience you wanted, the greater the celebrity for the advert. Of course, you can do more with American Express than just a gas payment, but still the ad left you remembering that you can also do some of the most basic things with your American Express card.

When Pepsi roped in Michael Jackson in the Pepsi ad, no one could take their eyes off with Michael singing solo in front of the grand piano, nostalgic about his signing career. This was enough to make anyone who saw the ad want to take only Pepsi for their favorite drink. The line Just call me and Ill be there will always be remembered. There was another more dramatic Pepsi ad, featuring Michael dancing with a model, doing his smooth dancing moves, which became equally popular. Pepsi definitely made an impact on the minds of the audiences with these commercials.

What the audiences got was a whole gamut of emotions and actions, in a matter of a couple of quick sequences, which showed the extent to which technology had advanced and also the way in which advertisers were reaching out to the audiences. These were no school-boy commercials. They went straight to your heart and mind and sunk in there, because of the tune, the lighting, the action, the slogan and basically the whole ad brought out in a slick way.

In the 90s commercials, advertisers began to really experiment with different ideas. You could see something new and different in every advert that came out. This was actually the secret to reaching out to audiences offer them something they have never come across before to get their attention. There was nothing similar in any of the ads seen. There was song, animation, graphics, acting and so much more put into a single commercial. Commercials were doing rounds in a bigger way than before, in promoting a business, primarily because of the level to which technology had advanced as a result of which different lighting, sound and graphics effects could be implemented to get a totally exciting effect.
