This is the full length version of the original ITN news TV theme music by John Malcolm, as used on ITV from 1955 until the 1970′s for all the main news bulletins, It was still used for the weekend and generic bulletins until the end of 1982. This is the actual OST version as used by ITN, recorded by L’ORCHESTRE DEVEREAUX Conducted by GEORGES DEVEREAUX in 1951 There are several other very similar recordings that are available on TV theme compilations etc.This version was available on the ITV 50 compilation. This tune is still used occasionally as background or incidental music in other TV programmes & commercials.
